Today is Sweden's National Day which means it is a public holiday. I have never participated in Sweden's National Day before, so, this year, I tried to attend a celebration in one of its municipals. I went to one located in Akalla By (Village) which has a double celebration - Eid Mubarak and National Day. I saw that Hej Främling! (Hie stranger!) has a booth opened there. I have been to a few activities organised by this organisation and so, I did not hesitate to again.
I was there at 12.15pm, and the crowd was still small. I got a food coupon from them, and in exchange, I had food (couscous, a puff and an orange). I sat and waited for an hour but there were no activities yet. The crowd was gradually trickling in and it was warm. The weather was lovely. I decided to go back after an hour as I did not see any other activities.
Hindsight, I should have gone to the Royal Palace because there was a royal parade.
