Upplandsleden 29 & 30

19 October 2019

After a week of grey clouds and rainy days, today was much looked forward to. A sunny Saturday. It was 12 degrees today. I am so happy that I got out today. Today's hike bring me to Upplandsleden Section 29 (13.5km) and 30 (9.5km) with a total of 23km - just follow the orange sign. We took the commuter train to Bålsta which was the last station at Line 43. This is located in Uppsala region.

Along one of the trails, we passed trees and grass that were still green. It was summer all over again!

We saw a Viking rune stone.

When we entered inside the forest, the trail was not a flat one. It was a mixture of uphills and downhills. It was not extremely difficult but different from the usual slightly ascending trails on Sörmlandsleden.

When the sun came out, we stood towards the sun and worshiped it by closing our eyes and facing the sun. It was lovely to feel the warmth on our faces.

We passed by a church along the way.

Far ahead, one could see Skokloster Castle. We did not step inside as we were running out of time and needed to catch the bus at 3.34pm. Otherwise, the next bus was at 5.34pm.

We caught bus 311 back to Bålsta station at 3.34pm. It was a 30-minute ride. This bus is operated by UL and so, one has to buy a separate bus ticket that costs SEK32 (Zone 3). Then, we continued on the commuter train back to Stockholm.
