Food adventure this time at a Chinese restaurant that sells dumplings. But my friend and I were more interested in the duck wrapped and steamed in lotus leaf. The picture looks very appetising and the dish was flavourful in real life. This place is located underground by the train station and closes quite early at 7pm. No bookings required.
We shared the dish mentioned above SEK145, a vegetarian dish with enoki mushroom and bean sprouts SEK119 as well as 6 pieces of xiao long bao SEK99. My friend is an expert in xiao long bao and did not think the dish fulfils her expectation as xiao long bao need to ooze out its juice when one bites into it. No juice from this one. It was like a dumpling. My friend was even doubtful I ordered xiao long bao. I enjoyed the vegetarian dish. Yummy. Both steamed duck and vegetarian dish came with its own bowl of rice and salad. Quite a lot of food. Luckily I cycled.
Xiao long bao as per its name is xiao = small. Around 5cm in diameter. I zoomed in to take the photo. I ate it with chilli oil which was a delicious combination.
The much-anticipated dish! Steamed duck meat wrapped in lotus leaf. I think the duck meat was roasted first and then steamed together with the cooked rice. Because the charred surface on the duck meat cannot be atained by steaming method.
